This week we finished our third week of graded lesson plans Overall the group of 2 besides me did great, I loved how engaging and fun theses lesson are.
Abagail H was the first to go and her lesson was over the westward expansion. I really loved her objective and I thought it was a well written. I also love the fact game and I felt that it was a great way to keep the student engaged. Another thing I loved about your lesson was the journey journals and the questions you asked. Overall it was great lesson that I had hard time picking my favorite thing. Great Job!
The second person that went was me and I did mine over K-math. Which I was nervous and when this happens I talk like 100 miles an hour. I really tried to remember to slow so I hope I did. This is my favorite lesson for the unit. The reason why I picked this standard was for a reason. I remember my first observation for 100. Many of her students still didn't know how to count and they were in fourth grade which made me sad. I tried to pick actives that help each learners be successful at this topic.
Dakota was the last one to go and I really like his approach to his standard. One of my favorite things was the anticipatory set which I thought the question his ask was great. I LOVE all the activities that provide a different way to look at measurement. Each one was very engaging. I like the modification about giving them a similar question to walk them through. I remember wishing that my teacher did that because I struggled in early math. Great Job!
